Questions about What is Astrobiology?

I am a molecular biologist with more than 20 years of research. I can't help feeling that Astrobiology is a concept that is "not even wrong". At best it seems to me an unnecessary label for astronomical investigations that have a long history. The rest seems like speculation divorced from experiment and data.

Hello, i'm a teenager interested in the area of astrobiology. I'm from Portugal and i'd like to ask you a question, which i don't know if it is adequated in these circunstances but i would really appreciate if you could spare a little bit of your time to get it answered. I really love this area but i don't know if, after i finish my graduation i will be able to get a job and if i do, if it will take most of my days or if it is just like any regular job in what speaks to schedule. I'm trying to get informed as much as i can, not just about the astrobiology in itself but about the job itself and i would appreaciate very much if you could give me an answer. Respected Sir, I am a student of std12 from India and my subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Computer. I am interested in exploring thing related to astrobiology like how did life originate? and about possibility of life on other planets and in other galaxies! I would like to pursue a career in astrobiology. One comes across the terms 'exobiology' and 'bioastronomy' when looking through literature about astrobiology - are these terms synonymous? If not, could you explain what are the essential differences between the three terms, please?

Since people are asking so much about Niburu, and it seems to annoy you so much, I thought I'd enlighten you to the fact that it is mythical, not fictional and the story has been aroujnd for many centuries and like many myths come out of many different cultures. Referring to it as a hoax, isn't exactly accurate.

I am currently studying as a biology major. I am very interested in the field of Astrobiology and was wondering how/what it takes to become an Astrobiologist. Also, could it be possible to have life not necessarily on another planet, but on a moon or other natural satellite? For example under the ice surface of Europa.
